Job Title: Renewable Energy Site Manager

Overview

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled site manager to oversee the construction of renewable energy projects. The successful candidate will have a strong background in construction management, with experience in renewable energy preferred.

About the Role

  • The site manager will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations on the construction site, ensuring that all work is completed to the required standards and within budget.
  • The role will involve coordinating and managing subcontractors and suppliers, as well as ensuring compliance with safety standards and regulations.
  • The site manager will also be responsible for maintaining accurate records of resource usage and costs, and for providing regular updates to senior management.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Project Management:
  2. Coordinate and manage all aspects of project delivery, from mobilization to commissioning and post-installation support.
  3. Oversee the day-to-day operations on the construction site, ensuring that all work is completed to the required standards and within budget.
  4. Monitor progress and provide regular updates to senior management.

Health and Safety

  • Implement and enforce health and safety policies and procedures.
  • Conduct regular site inspections to ensure compliance with safety standards.
  • Address any safety concerns promptly and effectively.

Quality Control

  • Ensure that all construction work meets the required quality standards.
  • Conduct regular quality inspections and audits.
  • Address any quality issues promptly and implement corrective actions as needed.

Resource Management

  • Manage site resources, including labour, materials, and equipment.
  • Ensure efficient use of resources to maximise productivity and minimise waste.
  • Maintain accurate records of resource usage and costs.

Requirements

  • Degree in construction management, civil engineering or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in construction management, with a focus on renewable energy projects preferred.
  • Relevant certifications in construction management and health and safety.

Skills

  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Thorough understanding of construction processes, materials and safety standards.
  • Proficient in project management software and tools.
