Electrical Team Lead Job Description

As a key member of our project delivery team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the success of major power and ESB framework projects. You will have the opportunity to develop your skills and expertise through structured progression and specialist training.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure compliance with all safety policies and procedures by conducting thorough risk assessments and implementing corrective actions as required.
  • Provide support to site management with records, reporting, and equipment orders, maintaining accurate and up-to-date records.
  • Inspect, diagnose, and test electrical systems for safety and compliance, using advanced diagnostic techniques to identify potential issues.
  • Connect and test cables, circuit breakers, transformers, CT/VT, and related components, ensuring safe and efficient operation.
  • Plan and oversee installation and layout of electrical wiring and fixtures, working closely with other team members to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Supervise assembly, installation, and testing of electrical equipment, coordinating with other teams to ensure timely completion of tasks.
  • Lead activities on live substations (33kV and higher), providing clear direction and guidance to team members.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Essential Requirements: Qualified Electrician, proven supervisory experience on live substations (33kV+)
  • Desirable Skills: Excellent communication and organisational skills, fluent spoken and written English
