Job Description:
Electrical and instrumentation maintenance professionals play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient operation of electrical and instrumentation systems within a pharmaceutical manufacturing environment. As an Electrical & Instrumentation Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for performing routine and reactive maintenance tasks, troubleshooting faults, and carrying out repairs to minimize downtime.

In this challenging and dynamic role, you will work closely with cross-functional teams, including mechanical technicians, operations, and quality. You will participate in daily shift handovers and weekly team meetings, supporting the training and mentoring of junior technicians where applicable.

Key Responsibilities include:
  • Maintenance & Operations
    • Perform routine and reactive maintenance on electrical and instrumentation systems.
    • Troubleshoot faults and carry out repairs to minimize downtime.
    • Support equipment calibrations, validations, and changeovers.
  • Compliance & Documentation
    • Ensure all work is carried out in compliance with site SOPs, GMP, and safety regulations.
    • Complete documentation (e.g., CMMS, logbooks, work orders) to required standards.
    • Participate in audits and inspections, providing technical input and documentation as needed.
  • Team Collaboration
    • Work closely with cross-functional teams including mechanical technicians, operations, and quality.
    • Participate in daily shift handovers and weekly team meetings.
    • Support training and mentoring of junior technicians where applicable.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Recognized Electrical or Instrumentation Trade Qualification
- Minimum 3 years' experience in a maintenance role within a GMP/pharmaceutical environment
- Strong understanding of electrical systems, instrumentation, and control systems
- Familiarity with CMMS systems (e.g., SAP, Maximo) and GMP documentation practices
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, regulated environment
