Cancer Care Specialist

This is a vital position in the delivery of patient-centered care and support to individuals affected by cancer.
Main Responsibilities:- Provide comprehensive cancer information, advice, and guidance to patients, carers, the public, and healthcare professionals.
- Answer inquiries about all aspects of cancer through various channels, including face-to-face interactions, telephone, email, and written communications.
- Refer service users to relevant healthcare professionals and organizations in line with hospital policies.
- Deliver patient education programs locally and online as required, promoting informed decision-making and self-management skills.
- Serve as a resource to multidisciplinary teams in the hospital on available information, supports, and services.
- Participate in and assist with exhibition stands at workshops and conferences for both patients and healthcare professionals.
- Maintain adherence to policies and procedures of the hospital and ensure accurate recording and reporting of incidents and complaints.
The ideal candidate will possess oncology knowledge and experience, enabling them to discuss and assess complex cancer needs, as well as related practical and emotional matters, with individuals contacting the organization through its centers.
