Are you a skilled wastewater professional looking to take on new challenges? Stantec has an exciting opportunity for a Project Engineer to join their team. As a Project Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in the planning, design and delivery of wastewater treatment/network projects. Your expertise will be essential in ensuring compliance with environmental regulations and client requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design Development: Develop designs for wastewater treatment plants, pumping stations and network infrastructure, considering factors like cost-effectiveness and sustainability.
  • Project Planning: Prepare feasibility studies, site assessments, and technical evaluations to inform project decisions.
  • Tender Documentation: Compile specifications and tender documents, ensuring clarity and accuracy.
  • Planning Applications: Prepare planning application documents, meeting regulatory requirements.
  • Team Collaboration: Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, including clients and contractors, to achieve project goals.
  • Leadership: Manage others in the preparation of drawings and other inputs, providing guidance and support.
  • Technical Support: Provide technical guidance and support throughout the project lifecycle, addressing any issues that may arise.
Candidate Requirements:
  • A relevant third-level degree in engineering (Level 8 minimum), demonstrating a strong foundation in your field.
  • Ideal 5 years' post-qualification experience with a minimum 3 years' experience in wastewater design, showcasing your expertise and skills.
  • Possess excellent professional/technical knowledge and skills, staying up-to-date with industry developments.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective collaboration with colleagues and clients.
  • Ability to work independently and within a collaborative multi-disciplinary team, prioritizing tasks and managing deadlines.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail, ensuring accurate and reliable results.
  • Ability to manage deadlines and effectively handle multiple tasks, maintaining productivity in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in industry-standard software, facilitating efficient project management and delivery.
