Data Analyst Job Description

This position involves analysing financial crime data to provide insights that drive strategic business decisions.

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading KYC data analysis efforts, ensuring data accuracy and integrity, and implementing data governance practices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyse large datasets to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies.
  • Develop and implement data quality controls.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and Key Risk Indicators (KRIs).

Data Mining Skills:

  • Clean and prepare data for analysis.
  • Identify trends, patterns, and anomalies in large datasets.
  • Knowledge of data warehousing concepts and tools.

Metric Reporting Skills:

  • Define and track KPIs relevant to business objectives.
  • Proficiency in using reporting tools like Power BI or Tableau.
  • Data interpretation and translation into actionable insights.

Qualifications/Skills:

  • A degree and/or relevant proven work experience.
  • Prior experience in AML or KYC; with prior experience in management reporting role.
  • Advanced knowledge of AML/KYC/financial crimes regulations and processes.
  • Comfort managing several projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
