Job Title: Device Engineering Project Lead

Job Description:

As a seasoned Device Engineering Project Lead, you will be responsible for managing and delivering complex technical projects from inception to completion. This role requires exceptional leadership skills, project management expertise, and a deep understanding of medical device regulations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide centralized management for planning, development, and execution of technical projects to achieve strategic business objectives.
  • Manage multiple concurrent projects and consistently meet expectations.
  • Make difficult decisions regarding priorities among projects/programs while ensuring team and leader buy-in.
  • Develop methods, procedures, and metrics for projects (scope, schedule, quality, and cost) and reporting.
  • Conduct risk assessments for technical and project-related issues and develop mitigation plans to ensure project schedule and costs are maintained.
  • Ensure successful project execution through proper planning, meeting scope, schedule, cost, and customer expectations.
Required Skills and Qualifications:

Essential Requirements:

  • Master's degree or higher in engineering or a technical field with 5+ years of new product development experience in medical devices or 5+ years of applicable project or program management experience in medical devices, healthcare, or pharma development environment.
  • Proven track record in applying project management tools to manage New Product Development Programs, Sustaining Engineering Projects, and ISO standards and FDA Design Control regulations.
  • Experience in developing complex software-controlled electromechanical medical devices with verification & validation activities is a plus.
  • Experience in developing complex sterile disposable medical devices, including plastic injection molding, extrusion, and assembly methods, is a plus.
