Senior Structural Design Engineer

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Senior Structural Design Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our design team, you will be responsible for developing custom design solutions for large-scale building projects.

You will collaborate closely with client-side design teams to align technical solutions with architectural and structural requirements. Your role will involve coordinating with internal teams to ensure designs are optimized for production, transport, and installation.

You will take part in both early-stage concept development and detailed design phases, preparing structural calculations and reviewing drawings for final production.

This is an excellent opportunity to work alongside senior engineers and experienced designers on high-value projects. Some travel within Ireland and the UK may be required for site meetings and inspections.

Requirements
  • Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (or a related field)
  • 10 years' experience in a structural design role with exposure to Reinforced concrete and Steel design
  • Ideally a Chartered Engineer
  • Familiar with Eurocodes and Building Regulations
  • Skilled in relevant software (e.g. AutoCAD, Revit, Tekla, Excel, SketchUp)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Self-motivated, with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team
