We are seeking a highly motivated Sous Chef to join our Culinary team at Powerscourt Hotel Resort & Spa. This exciting role offers a competitive salary, ongoing training and complimentary transport to and from Bray Dart Station.
About the RoleSous Chefs play a vital part in ensuring that all culinary procedures are completed to the highest standards while working within allocated resources. They must also assist where necessary to ensure optimum service to guests and provide support, training, direction, and focus to staff members.
Key Responsibilities- Supervise and train kitchen staff to maintain exceptional standards of food preparation and presentation.
- Inspect kitchen operations to ensure compliance with food safety and quality protocols.
- Assist in managing kitchen inventory and controlling costs.
- Develop and implement effective menu planning and pricing strategies.
To be successful as a Sous Chef, you will possess:
- A strong understanding of food safety handling and management principles.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- The ability to work well under pressure and prioritize tasks effectively.
