Senior Privacy and Data Protection Attorney - EMEA

The role of Senior Privacy and Data Protection Attorney - EMEA at our organization is to lead the European privacy and data protection functions, ensuring compliance with GDPR and the EU AI Act.

This position involves negotiating and managing privacy and commercial agreements with various stakeholders, including customers, vendors, suppliers, and partners. Strong communication skills are essential for effective collaboration with technical, product, procurement, and commercial teams.

  1. Negotiate and manage complex privacy and commercial agreements.
  2. Interact with regulatory authorities and ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
  3. Partner closely with cross-functional teams to implement privacy-by-design principles and provide counsel on privacy, product, and commercial matters.
  4. Develop processes for efficient and scalable privacy and commercial operations.
  5. Pitch in for any legal tasks as needed.

For this role, we require a Juris Doctor (JD) or equivalent degree from an accredited law school, along with a license or qualification to practice law in Ireland and preferably in the UK. A minimum of 4+ years of privacy experience and 4+ years of product counseling and/or commercial transactional experience are necessary.

Desirable qualifications include CIPP/E certification, CIPP/US certification is a plus, and a total of 6+ years of combined legal experience at an innovative technology company and a top law firm. In-house experience at a Business-to-Consumer or Business-to-Business company is also beneficial.
