Support Worker Role Summary

This position is responsible for providing support to individuals with an intellectual disability in a residential setting.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Assistance and Care: Provide daily living support, including personal care and household management.
  • Relationship Development: Foster relationships with service users, their families, and other stakeholders.
  • Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality services.
  • Professional Growth: Engage in ongoing professional development to enhance skills and knowledge.
  • Environment Safety: Ensure a safe and healthy environment for service users and staff.

Requirements:

  • Hold a relevant HSE Recognised QQI Level 5 Qualification or be willing to undertake a relevant QQI Level 5 Major Award.
  • Display excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrate ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Show flexibility to work varied shifts, including evenings, weekends, and overnights.
