About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled Staff Psychologist to join our multidisciplinary team in Mayo and Roscommon.
This is an exciting opportunity to work with patients from children to adults experiencing complex emotional, behavioral, and mental health difficulties.
The Successful Candidate: will provide high quality psychological services offering individual and group-based interventions as appropriate.
Main Responsibilities:
- To assess and treat children and young people with various emotional, behavioural, and developmental concerns through evidence-informed methods.
- To collaborate with children, families, and other healthcare professionals to develop treatment plans and deliver individual and group therapy sessions.
- To participate in case formulation, goal-setting, and consultation with parents and other professionals involved in patient care.
- To contribute to service development, quality improvement initiatives, and ongoing professional growth within the department.
Eligibility Criteria:
- A Doctorate or equivalent qualification in Clinical/Counselling/Educational Psychology.
- Candidates must be eligible for registration with the Psychological Society of Ireland.
- Demonstrable knowledge of psychological assessment and therapeutic models.
- Experience delivering psychological interventions to children and families.
- Excellent clinical skills, communication, and interpersonal abilities.
- Capacity to work independently and manage diverse caseloads effectively.
