
Public Sector Infrastructure Project Coordinator

The role involves managing public sector infrastructure projects, including drainage schemes and construction work.
Key Responsibilities- Project Management:
- Coordinating project timelines, budgets, and resources.
- Ensuring compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.
- Drainage Maintenance:
- Maintaining arterial drainage schemes, including channel maintenance, embankment maintenance, and structure maintenance.
- Construction:
- Constructing earthen embankments, reinforced concrete walls, sheet piled retaining and defence walls, and precast concrete culverts.
- Safety Officer Responsibilities:
- Familiarity with relevant Health and Safety Legislation.
- Hazard identification and risk assessment.
- Health and Safety advice and control measures.
- Communication of Health and Safety requirements.
- Recommendations and changes to practices.
- Corrective action and suspension of work.
- A Level 7 Qualification in Occupational Health and Safety.
- No less than 3 years of satisfactory experience of construction work and knowledge of construction methods, site management, and construction design process.
- Current Safe Pass Card and Valid driving licence.
- Comprehensive knowledge of construction and general health and safety management systems (ISO 45001:2018).
- Computer-literate and necessary IT skills.
- High level of interpersonal and communication skills.
Competitive hourly rate based on experience, typically €30-€50 per hour.
Initial contract may be followed by a direct position with the Public Body if performance meets expectations.
