Supporting Individuals with Disabilities

About the Role:

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to support individuals with disabilities in a residential setting.

  • Experience in working with challenging behaviours of Adults and Children with Intellectual Disabilities is essential.
  • You will work as part of a dedicated team, as well as independently if/when required.
  • Building and maintaining positive, professional relationships with service users and all stakeholders is crucial.
  • Supporting the day-to-day running of services, ensuring a safe, supportive environment for all, is vital.
  • Ensuring adherence and understanding of HIQA standards and residential care regulations is necessary.

The ideal candidate will have a genuine passion for supporting individuals with disabilities and helping them maximise their quality of life.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • QQI Level 5 qualification in healthcare or a relevant field is required.
  • Experience of working with children/adults in the field of intellectual disability is essential.
  • A full manual driving licence and access to your own transport is necessary.
  • A degree of flexibility and the ability to work as part of a team is crucial.
