Practice Director Job Summary

Overview:

This is an exciting leadership opportunity for a skilled and motivated individual to shape the future of veterinary care in Waterford.

The Practice Director will oversee the day-to-day operations of our clinic, ensuring efficient workflow and exceptional client care. This role requires strong leadership, organisational, and interpersonal skills, with financial acumen including budgeting and managing a profit and loss statement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee daily operations, ensuring efficient workflow and excellent client care.
  • Manage financial performance, including budgeting, invoicing, and profitability.
  • Implement and maintain health and safety protocols to ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Handle human resources tasks, including recruitment, training, and staff development.
  • Foster a positive and collaborative work environment to promote high team morale.
  • Manage inventory, ordering, and maintain supplies and equipment.
  • Monitor client satisfaction and address concerns promptly.
  • Collaborate with senior management to develop and implement strategies for practice growth.

Requirements:

  • Experience in a veterinary practice management role or equivalent leadership experience in a healthcare setting.
  • Strong leadership, organisational, and interpersonal skills, with financial acumen.
  • Proactive problem-solving approach and ability to improve practice efficiency.
  • Excellent communication skills to engage with both the team and clients.
