
Homeless Support Worker

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Homeless Support Worker to join our team. As a key member of our team, you will provide personalized support to individuals and families experiencing homelessness, helping them to secure long-term housing and develop the skills and attributes necessary to maintain their independence.
About the Role:- Deliver high-quality care and support to residents in challenging environments, working closely with colleagues to develop care plans and manage cases in accordance with our pathways model.
- Provide one-to-one support to clients, conducting initial assessments, identifying housing needs and additional supports, and linking them to relevant services to help them find stable accommodation.
- Liaise effectively with internal and external stakeholders, including the Housing Case Working team and family link workers, to ensure seamless communication and support for residents.
- Build trusting relationships with each family, treating them with dignity and respect, and working within our organization's values.
- Contribute to the smooth operation of the family hub, handling conflicts, responding to health issues, and welcoming and engaging with families.
- Bachelor's degree in Applied Social Care or a related field (Level 7 National Qualifications Framework).
- A minimum of one year's relevant experience working with homeless individuals or families.
- Child Protection Training.
- Awareness of issues facing residents moving into independent tenancy.
- Experience managing complex situations in a client-based service.
- Knowledge of Children's First and Child Protection policies.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Ability to work on a flexible roster, including evenings and weekends, in a residential setting.
