Occupational Therapist - Leadership Role

This pivotal post involves leading and managing an Occupational Therapy caseload in a Hospital setting. The successful candidate will work with residents with severe and enduring mental illness and complex needs.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Plan, deliver and assess clinical care in Occupational Therapy, adhering to local and national standards.
  • Determine treatment/intervention programmes for residents and patients, then implement and evaluate their effectiveness.
  • Collaborate with residents, families, carers, and staff in goal setting and treatment planning.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary teams and work collaboratively with team members.
  • Maintain comprehensive records of assessments, interventions, and discussions relating to residents.
  • Deliver Occupational Therapy Services within a legally compliant framework and ensure efficient services.

The ideal candidate will be registered on the Occupational Therapists Register maintained by CORU, hold a degree in Occupational Therapy or equivalent qualification, and possess strong knowledge of health, safety, and statutory regulations affecting healthcare organisations.
