EHS Manager RoleWe are seeking an experienced EHS professional to lead the development and delivery of environmental, health, and safety programs to meet high standards of regulatory compliance and corporate policy.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop, implement, and maintain effective EHS management systems that align with industry best practices and corporate standards.
- Promote and facilitate a culture of high environmental, health, and safety performance across all site activities.
- Manage the process safety management system to ensure seamless operations.
- Provide timely and comprehensive EHS reporting to stakeholders as required.
- Conduct regular site safety and environmental audits to identify areas for improvement and ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
- Stay up-to-date with relevant safety and environmental legislation and regulations locally, nationally, and within the EC.
- Design and deliver the annual safety and environmental training program to enhance employee knowledge and skills.
- Collaborate with HR to ensure mandatory training is completed and employees receive appropriate training related to new/revised SOPs, health and safety issues, and environmental concerns.
- Oversee the site emergency response program in conjunction with production and facilities managers.
- Work with the Corporate Safety and Environment Group to develop site safety and environment policies and procedures.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Science or Engineering.
- Formal safety qualification, such as OSHA certification.
- Previous relevant industrial experience in the pharmaceutical or related industry.
- Experience in IPPC license, GHG permit compliance, and ISO14001 implementation and operation would be beneficial.
- Strong EHS leadership skills with previous managerial experience.
- Extensive knowledge of EHS regulations and EHS management systems.
- Creative problem-solving skills to develop new safety and environmental programs and solutions.
- Demonstrated ability to provide direction to employees, establish overall objectives and resources, and broadly define missions and functions.
