Environmental Health and Safety Specialist

As an Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) specialist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring our facilities comply with environmental health and safety regulations. Your day-to-day tasks will involve performing EHS-related duties to maintain regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities include:

  • Ensuring site compliance with environmental regulatory requirements, including documentation and reporting obligations
  • Participating in initiatives aimed at improving environmental sustainability and operational efficiency on site
  • Developing standard operating procedures (SOPs) and policies for environmental compliance onsite
  • Participating in internal and external audits and inspections related to EHS
  • Designing and delivering on-site EHS training
Requirements

To be considered for this opportunity, you should possess the following skills and qualifications:

  • A thorough knowledge of EHS legislation applicable to pharmaceutical facilities in Ireland/Europe
  • Operational safety experience, specifically with safe systems of work
  • The ability to logically solve problems and make sound decisions
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, as well as the ability to produce high-quality technical reports
Qualifications

A diploma or degree in Environmental Science or equivalent is preferred. Additionally, 2+ years of experience working in an EHS role within the pharmaceutical industry would be beneficial.
