Job Role

The role of the Clinical Skills Facilitator is pivotal in delivering clinical support, education, and instruction to midwives and nurses. This entails assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care for patients while promoting exceptional patient care.

This includes working as part of the Nurse Practice Development Unit (NPDU), developing midwifery practice within the hospital setting. Key responsibilities include providing professional leadership, demonstrating compassion, care, and commitment, conducting duties in accordance with relevant policies, promoting good communications, and managing resources efficiently.

Specific key responsibilities include supporting staff learning, maintaining high professional standards, leading audit initiatives, participating in education and training programs, and effectively managing resources.

The successful candidate will contribute to a quality improvement culture, participate in teams and committees, and attend relevant meetings, ensuring open communication with all relevant staff and developing good working relationships with wards and departments.
