Residential Support Worker Role

Support individuals with daily living activities and enable them to live independent lives in line with national standards.

Responsibilities:

  • Empower service users to live independently in their residential home and community.
  • Transport service users for access to daily living activities.
  • Participate in household duties, such as cooking, laundry, cleaning, and shopping.
  • Communicate effectively with the team.
  • Maintain a safe working environment and report potential hazards.
  • Engage positively in team meetings and training.
  • Provide an excellent standard of care to service users.

Requirements:

  • Relevant QQI qualification within the healthcare sector at level 5 or higher.
  • Age 18+
  • Full clean manual driving license and own transport.
  • Excellent command of spoken and written English.
  • Knowledge of HIQA standards.
  • Work or student experience in social care or a related field.
