Job Overview:

As a Mechanical Engineer, you will be part of a dynamic team working on water and wastewater treatment projects across the Island of Ireland. The successful candidate will have responsibility for assisting in the design development of contracts from early design through to detailed design stage and onto delivery/construction stage.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Take ownership of delegated projects and project issues
  • Evaluate Client Specifications and liaise with Clients and Client Representatives
  • Communicate with Project Manager, Design Leads and Sub-Consultants during project execution
  • Interact with engineering team, partaking in final design, equipment selection and procurement activities
  • Organising, coordinating and managing design activities while maintaining H&S in line with Veolia standards
Required Skills:
  • Minimum NFQ Level 7 degree in an Engineering (Mechanical Engineering Degree is preferable)
  • Practical site experience (Desired)
  • Practical experience in being part of a project team from initial stages to delivery stage
  • Managing design/site activities including team coordination
  • Ability to work on own initiative and effectively manage & coordinate design/site activities
  • Experience in execution of water/wastewater engineering projects is desirable
  • IT skills such as Microsoft Word, Excel, Project, Power Point
  • Good organisational and time management skills
  • Self-motivated
  • Strong communication and writing skills
