Energy Regulation Role Overview

As a Senior Energy Regulation Analyst, you will play a key role in shaping the future of Ireland's energy landscape. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of regulatory frameworks and industry dynamics, with a proven track record of influencing policy positions and driving compliance.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Monitor and analyze regulatory consultations to inform business decisions and develop effective policy responses.
  2. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to coordinate energy policy positions, ensuring alignment with industry best practices and stakeholder expectations.
  3. Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to drive regulatory compliance and knowledge sharing.
  4. Represent the organization at industry fora, presenting complex information to senior management and other key stakeholders.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • A third-level qualification or equivalent work experience in a relevant field such as energy, law, or public policy.
  • A minimum of 7 years' experience in the energy or wider utilities industry, with a focus on regulatory affairs and policy development.
  • An appreciation of the regulatory environment and markets that impact the organization's operations.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, including drafting response documents to regulatory authorities and industry bodies.
  • Strong analytical capability, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, with the ability to work under pressure.
