Job Description:

  • The successful candidate will proactively communicate with an established customer base, build strong working relationships with key account customers and ensure best in class customer service.
  • They will also increase core product sales through proactive communication and strategic initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Handle customer enquiries and sales support enquiries, technical quotations and manage existing accounts for phone-based sales.
  2. Compile and maintain a business development pipeline for the area of responsibility.
  3. Build relationships with various companies throughout the customer base, focusing on maintaining a sales-focused attitude.
  4. Operate in a proactive fashion to promote products, secure orders and generate additional revenue through regular contact.
  5. Identify and qualify relevant sales and specification opportunities.
  6. Maintain an accurate database of relevant specifiers and contractors.
  7. Initiate and facilitate virtual CPD and product training sessions (webinar and workshop).
  8. Maintain currency of product documentation, samples and displays.
  9. Achieve sales targets for the area of responsibility (revenue & GM).
  10. Maintain a positive attitude and foster a passion for the company and products represented.
  11. Communicate effectively with the customer base, highlight offers and incentives as required.
  12. Maintain and update all sales, order, contact, customer, lead and supplier information within the CRM system.
  13. Enter, maintain and update all activity within the system.
  14. Provide office-based support to the external sales team.
  15. Develop an awareness of the complete product offering.

Requirements:

  • Proven track record of success in sales and customer relationship management.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Proficient in CRM software and other productivity tools.
