Job Overview

This is an exciting opportunity to support children with complex needs and developmental disabilities in a dynamic educational environment.

You will work closely with families, educators, and a wider team to deliver specialist assessment and intervention to children in a Special School setting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide specialist assessment and intervention to children in a Special School setting.
  • Deliver individual and group therapy using evidence-based approaches.
  • Support communication and feeding needs in the classroom and home.
  • Support care planning, progress tracking, and participation in multidisciplinary meetings.
  • Mentor and support junior therapists and contribute to service development within the department.
Requirements for the Role:
  • CORU registration as a Speech and Language Therapist (essential).
  • Minimum of 3 years' post-qualification experience, ideally in paediatrics or disability services.
  • Strong background in managing complex communication needs, Augmentative and Alternative Communication, and dysphagia (if applicable).
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Experience in school or community-based settings is advantageous.
