Job Title: Principal Electrical & Instrumentation Engineer">About the Job">

The role of a Principal Electrical and Instrumentation Engineer is to lead the site's instrumentation and calibration programs. This position will involve ensuring equipment performance, compliance with regulatory requirements, and long-term reliability across the facility.

">Key Responsibilities:">
  • Own the site calibration program, ensuring readiness for regulatory inspections.
  • Act as Subject Matter Expert (SME) during audits and liaise with health and regulatory authorities.
  • Lead reliability improvements, identify obsolescence, and implement planned replacements.
  • Provide technical guidance and training to the maintenance team.
  • Develop, review, and own SOPs, calibration standards, and measurement of uncertainty programs.
  • Analyze predictive and condition-based monitoring data to drive continuous improvement.
  • Support equipment selection for capital and replacement projects.

To be successful in this role, you should have a Degree in Electrical and Instrumentation Engineering, at least 5 years of experience in maintenance or engineering roles, preferably within regulated industries such as pharma, biotech, or medical devices.

Additionally, you should have a strong understanding of calibration methodologies and instrumentation systems, knowledge of EU directives (e.g., ATEX), international standards (ISA, IEC, ISO), proven experience in troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and reliability engineering, excellent communication skills with the ability to influence and lead change.
