Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Laboratory Team Leader to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading a team of laboratory staff, ensuring the smooth operation of laboratory activities and maintaining high standards of quality and safety.


Responsibilities
  • Lead a team of laboratory staff, providing guidance and support to ensure the effective completion of tasks and projects.
  • Develop and implement laboratory protocols and procedures, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and guidelines.
  • Conduct routine and investigative analysis, interpreting results and providing recommendations to stakeholders.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of laboratory activities, including data review and analysis.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve business objectives, sharing knowledge and expertise to drive innovation and improvement.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A minimum of 3 years' experience in a GMP pharmaceutical microbiology environment, with testing and data review responsibilities.
  • Proven line management and people management skills, with experience of conducting regular one-to-ones and performance reviews.
  • Strong technical knowledge of microbiology, with the ability to interpret complex data and make informed decisions.
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a team, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A British Passport or Indefinite Leave to Remain is required due to the temporary-to-permanent nature of the contract.
