About the Role:
Northern Trust is a globally recognized financial institution committed to innovative financial services and guidance. As part of our Ireland Investor AML Operations team, this role requires completion of a workload with guidance from colleagues and line management to support all aspects of Anti Money Laundering for investors in line with AML Legislation, Regulation & Guidance/Best Practice.

The role requires partners to hold, build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders to deliver a robust AML service to Northern Trust's client and investor base.

Key Responsibilities:
  • To serve as a key subject matter expert and mentor to junior level employees
  • Review the work of others and develop training plans
  • Responds to internal and external inquiries related to Anti Money Laundering requirements for investors
  • Review procedural requirements and recommend changes where applicable
  • Participate in developing training material and lead training within the department.
  • May interact with committees and/or Senior Management
  • Resolves problems, identifies solutions and may establish new techniques to meet objectives
Skill Requirements:
The successful candidate will benefit from having:
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills to communicate effectively with partners
  • Technical skills/systems knowledge (e.g. Microsoft and Peoplesoft) preferred
  • Knowledge of applicable laws and regulations acquired through formal education or experience. Knowledge of Irish, UK or Cayman regulations desirable.
  • Analytical and communication skills required to analyze and summarize information
  • Leadership and organizational skills needed to prioritize assignments and provide feedback to staff and coordinate compliance activities
  • Understands how duties relate to others in the team and how the team integrates with others
  • Provides day-to-day supervision to a team including coaching on performance, coordinating activities, checking quality and work progress
  • Knowledge of AML, Customer Identification Program (CIP), Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD) and Know Your Customer (KYC) regulatory requirements
