Our company is seeking a skilled Transport Planner to play a key role in ensuring the smooth delivery of goods across Ireland, the UK, and Europe.

Job Description:

The successful candidate will be responsible for assigning customer sales to transport in the most cost-effective and efficient way. They will also plan and assign SORs to drivers and confirm booking dates. In addition, they will maintain driver and customer relationships, create reports and delivery schedules for customers and different departments.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Optimize transportation routes and schedules to minimize costs and maximize efficiency
  • Plan and coordinate daily operations, including assigning SORs to drivers and confirming booking dates
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with drivers and customers to ensure high levels of satisfaction
  • Produce accurate reports and delivery schedules to meet business needs
Requirements:
  • Recent experience as a Transport Planner or in a similar industry is essential
  • Good geographical knowledge of the UK and Ireland is required
  • High-level IT skills, with proficiency in digital operation systems are necessary
  • Excellent communication skills, with ability to interact with all levels of business are essential
