Key Job Responsibilities

This position involves working in the Marine Institute's Oceanographic Services team to deliver modelling products for the Copernicus Marine Environment Monitoring Service (CMEMS).

You will engage in data collation, analysis and reporting for the Atlantic Basin Checkpoints project.

">Required Qualifications
  • Experience in running and maintaining numerical hydrodynamic and biogeochemical models is essential.
  • Specific experience of NEMO and PISCES models is particularly relevant.
  • A third level degree in Physical/ Biological Oceanography or a related discipline is required.
  • Advanced IT skills including experience working in a Linux environment and background using Fortran programming and scripting languages (e.g. Matlab, Python or similar) are necessary.
