Job Title: Senior Construction Engineer

This senior construction engineer position is an excellent opportunity to join a multinational construction group on a project in Limerick.

  • The ideal candidate will set out the works and ensure that foremen and operatives clearly understand the information provided.
  • They will disseminate information from drawings, specifications, etc., to foremen, operatives, subcontractors, so that they clearly understand what is required.
  • Testing materials as directed by supervisor/line manager in accordance with the relevant specifications is also a key responsibility.
  • Record all daily activities, relevant information, and occurrences in the site diary.
  • Reporting work progress, including that of subcontractors, to the manager is essential.
  • Pursuing ongoing development and training proactively is highly valued.
  • Conducting work safely, correcting and reporting those who do not, is crucial.
  • Maintaining professional working relationships with all personnel is expected.
  • Monitoring and checking setting out instruments and testing equipment are necessary tasks.
  • Maximising profit through day-to-day actions, such as good self-management and accuracy in own work, is encouraged.
  • FOLLOWING DIRECTIONS AND ATTENDING MEETINGS AS REQUIRED.
Key Requirements:
  • A third-level qualification in Engineering is required.
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in setting out or as a site engineer is preferred.
  • Experience working with a main contractor, subcontractor, surveying firm, or similar is advantageous.
  • A good understanding of health, safety, and environmental regulations is necessary.
