Geotechnical Engineer Role in Water Sector

This position is ideal for a Geotechnical Engineer who is passionate about working in the water sector.

About the Job
  • You will work with multidisciplinary teams to provide geoenvironmental and geotechnical expertise on water company projects, infrastructure development, and community initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Conducting ground investigations, assessing geotechnical laboratory data, creating ground models, and designing and reporting on foundations, retaining walls, soil and rock slope stability, and earthworks.
  • Reviewing historical maps to identify potential sources of contamination, supporting ground investigations, evaluating contaminants in soils and groundwater, and their associated environmental impact, assessing suitability for the sustainable reuse of soils and recommending remediation options.
Requirements
  • A Bachelor's degree in Geology, Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, Environmental Sciences, or Chemistry.
  • Strong interest in working in the water sector.
  • Be an adaptable professional able to remain calm in new and changing situations.
  • Stay composed in the face of setbacks and approach challenges with confidence and determination.
  • Work effectively with various people and consider others' perspectives to shape better outcomes.
  • Love to think creatively and be unafraid to challenge conventional thinking.
