Financial Modelling Executive Role

The Job Description:

This position involves working closely with clients to determine the value of their businesses and shareholdings, as well as intangible assets. This includes supporting clients in transactions, strategic/investment decisions, or financial reporting and tax estimates.

Business modelling plays a significant role in the decision-making process for many organisations. Our team provides specialist expertise to develop complex models for business planning and forecasting, transactions (corporate finance and project finance), decision support, risk analysis, and business information.

We provide independent assurance for model users by reviewing financial, strategic, and operational models built by our clients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Working under supervision on assignments including valuations, strategic advice, business planning, and operational analysis
  • Supporting senior members on progress and understanding client requirements
  • Applying and documenting complex valuations methodologies
  • Designing, developing, and documenting complex business models
  • Reviewing Excel models under supervision and arriving at preliminary conclusions
  • Understanding, manipulating, and interpreting financial data and client information
  • Presenting findings both written and orally
Requirements:
  • Accounting qualification (CA or equivalent)
  • Sound grasp of Irish GAAP and/or IFRS and financial accounting
  • High level of business awareness and strong understanding of factors driving financial performance
  • Numerate with a sound grasp of Excel and interest in using it to help clients make better business decisions
  • Track record in valuations and/or financial modelling
