Civils Site Engineer Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Civils Site Engineer to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity for a professional who wants to take on new challenges and contribute to the success of our projects.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Establish level and survey control for contracts.
  • Set out detailed works as per contract drawing, ensuring regular checks are carried out.
  • Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with organisational and legal requirements.
  • Resolve unexpected technical difficulties and other site problems.
  • Produce procurement schedules for jobs and liaise with procurement department.
  • Establish and promote best practice.
  • Produce site diaries, records, and allocation sheets.
  • Establish safe working cultures and practices.
  • Comply with company procedures and legal obligations.
  • Promote and comply with environmental compliance.
  • Deliver works safely and to deadline.
  • Ensure work is delivered defect-free.
  • Identify value engineering opportunities.
  • Promote customer focus throughout the organisation.
  • Establish and promote EHS awareness on site.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Minimum third-level qualification in Civil Engineering.
  • Minimum 2-3 years' experience in site-based setting out.
  • Sound knowledge of construction methods, health & safety, Environmental, and legal regulations.
  • Proficient in robotic total station or EDM instruments.
  • Self-driven and results-oriented with a positive outlook.
  • Experience of temporary work co-ordination and MS Project.
  • Valid Safe Pass/SMSTS/MSIC card holder.
