Day-Time Sous Chef

We are seeking a skilled Day-Time Sous Chef to join our kitchen team in Galway.

Job Summary:

The ideal candidate will support the Head Chef and lead the kitchen team to deliver high-quality food and exceptional customer service.

  • Assist the Head Chef with daily kitchen management
  • Prepare and present dishes to consistently high standards
  • Supervise and motivate kitchen staff during peak hours
  • Support menu planning and contribute creative ideas for new dishes
  • Maintain stock levels, order and ensure proper food storage and rotation
  • Adhere to HACCP, food safety and hygiene regulations
  • Ensure efficient kitchen operations within a day-time service model

Requirements:

  • Previous experience as a Sous Chef or strong Chef de Partie ready to step up
  • Experience in a café, bistro or high-volume casual dining setting preferred
  • Strong organisational and leadership skills
  • A passion for fresh, seasonal and high-quality food
  • Ability to work effectively in a busy, team-focused environment
  • Must be currently living in Ireland with the right to work in the Republic of Ireland
