Our organization is seeking a highly skilled Senior Payroll Specialist to join our dynamic team. This key role will involve ensuring the accurate and timely processing of payroll for various entities across Ireland, UK, Australia, and Europe.
The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a high level of accuracy in all work. They will also have excellent verbal and written communication skills, as well as proficiency in payroll software and MS Excel.
Responsibilities- Process monthly payroll for employees in Ireland, ensuring compliance with Irish tax and employment law.
- Maintain accurate payroll records, updating employee data and ensuring correct reflection in the payroll system.
- Stay informed on changes in payroll laws and regulations, ensuring all payroll activities are compliant.
- Prepare and submit reports, including PAYE, PRSI, and USC, to relevant authorities.
- Address and resolve payroll-related issues, providing support and advice to employees.
- Perform monthly payroll reconciliations to ensure accuracy between payroll and general ledger accounts.
- Handle year-end payroll activities and statutory returns.
- Collaborate with HR, Finance, and other departments to ensure smooth payroll operations.
- Experience: 3+ years in payroll processing, preferably within Ireland and UK; experience with EMEA (France, Germany) and APAC (Australia, Singapore) payrolls is a bonus.
- Education: Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; payroll certifications are a plus.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in payroll software, strong MS Excel skills, and experience with Workday and CloudPay.
- Knowledge: In-depth understanding of Irish payroll legislation, including PAYE, PRSI, USC, and other statutory requirements.
- Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
