Job Description:
  • We are seeking an entry-level Transfer Station Operative to join our team at Dublin Port.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the acceptance and storage of deliveries, processing material for recovery, and loading material for transfer off-site. They will also be trained to work safely and correctly, ensuring a safe workplace for everyone.

This is an ideal opportunity for a highly motivated individual who wants to learn new skills and develop their career. As part of our team, you will be responsible for accepting deliveries, checking them into our computer program within 24 hours of receipt, handling paperwork according to procedures, sampling, loading, and unloading material for our Recovery Facility, and ensuring containers are loaded correctly with signed-off paperwork.

You will also participate in response drills and activities on site, maintain the yard facility by keeping it clean, litter-free, and ensure all equipment is well-maintained and repaired as necessary.

Skill Requirements:

  • Leaving cert or equivalent
  • 1-2 years experience in the waste/production industry or warehousing or similar role
  • A forklift license and computer skills are required
  • Knowledge in areas such as DGSA, ADR / IMDG, SAP, and Chemical awareness are advantageous
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team
  • Verbal and written communication skills with careful attention to detail
