Job Title: Patient Account Officer Grade IV
Overview of the RoleThe position of Patient Account Officer is currently available in our organization. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing patient accounts efficiently and providing exceptional service to patients, staff, and students.
Main Responsibilities:- Support the Patient Accounts Team Leader and act as a deputy when required
- Respond to and manage telephone calls to Patient Accounts
- Process payments received via telephone, in person, or electronically
- Administer and process credits, debits, and in-progress reports and transactions
- Generate invoices and reminders, and review them for accuracy
- Balance and close individual cash sheets and process them to the Finance department
- Leaving Certificate & ECDL (or equivalent qualification)
- A minimum of 1 year experience in patient services within a hospital outpatient setting
- Strong administration skills, including multitasking and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
This is a permanent contract position, working Monday to Friday, business hours.
