Job Overview:

We are seeking a Content Production Lead to join our Programming team. Reporting to the Head of Commissioning, the successful candidate will oversee content production, develop new strategies, manage partnerships, and contribute to long-term planning.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversight of internal and external content production, ensuring quality and alignment with values.
  • New content idea sourcing, format development, and future strategy shaping.
  • Creation of engaging content opportunities from studios that support public service remit.
  • Content delivery timeline and budget management.
  • Marketing and messaging coordination for key properties.
  • Development of content for emerging platforms.
  • Approval of AFC projects and collaboration with commercial teams.
  • Oversight of seasonal launches, content events, and studio collaborations.
  • Budget, production model, and legal contract management.
  • Supervision of content and admin teams for seamless delivery.
Required Skills:
  • Exceptional editorial skills with deep understanding of target audience and values.
  • Proven track record in multi-genre content development and delivery.
  • Strategic planning and long-term vision implementation.
  • Experience in independent sector and commissioning models.
  • Leadership experience, stakeholder collaboration, and team building.
  • Ability to adapt and deliver high-quality results under pressure.
  • Strong production and budget management skills.
  • Understanding of Public Service Broadcasting obligations.
  • Minimum 7 years' experience in long-form broadcast content production.
