Job Overview
The Data Business Intelligence Architect role bridges the gap between technical data solutions and business objectives. This position requires experience in architecting data solutions for descriptive, diagnostic, predictive, and prescriptive analytic solutions.
Main Responsibilities:
- To design, develop, and maintain the overall data strategy to ensure accessible, reliable, and secure data for analysis and decision-making.
- To collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate business needs into technical specifications.
- To evaluate, recommend, and implement tools aligned with recommended architecture, including visualization tools.
- To design, develop, and test data pipelines, integrations to source management, and ETL/ELT processes.
- To maintain an enterprise-wide data catalog, automating metadata ingestion, establishing data dictionaries, and ensuring proper documentation and tagging.
- To enforce data governance policies, ensure data quality, security, and compliance.
- To monitor and optimize BI systems and data pipelines for high performance, reliability, and cost-effectiveness.
- To provide technical guidance and mentorship across the organization, establishing best practices for data management and BI development.
Key Skills and Qualifications:
- At least 5 years of experience working with business and IT stakeholders.
- Experience in architecting and implementing scalable, secure, and efficient data solutions.
- Ability to design conceptual, logical, and physical data models.
- Experience evaluating, recommending, and implementing tools aligned with recommended architecture.
- Experience designing, developing, and testing data pipelines and integrations.
- Ability to maintain an enterprise-wide data catalog.
- Experience enforcing data governance policies and ensuring data quality, security, and compliance.
- Ability to monitor and optimize BI systems and data pipelines.
- Experience providing technical guidance and mentorship.
