Care and Support Specialist

This role is an exciting opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of vulnerable young people in need of support. Our team provides short-term, stabilising interventions in a secure, therapeutic environment.

As a Care and Support Specialist, you will work with children aged 11-17 years, promoting their physical, emotional, social, and educational welfare. You will be part of a collaborative team that develops and implements care plans, prioritising the rights and needs of each young person.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement individualised care plans in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team
  • Promote the rights and needs of each young person, ensuring their voice is heard and valued
  • Provide safe, nurturing environments that support the physical, emotional, and social development of young people
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure a consistent and high-quality service

Requirements:

We are seeking individuals with a passion for supporting vulnerable young people. To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • A minimum QQI Level 7 qualification in Social Care or a related field
  • Experience working with children and young people, preferably in a care or support setting
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
