Role Overview

This is a key position for overseeing and managing mechanical engineering projects from inception to completion.

  • We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Project Engineer to lead our team in delivering high-profile and diverse projects across the Leinster region.
About the Job

The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, scheduling, and coordinating mechanical engineering projects. You will work closely with site managers, project managers, and tradespeople to ensure timely and successful delivery of mechanical projects.

  • Ensure compliance with HSEQ standards and maintain project documentation.
  • Attend and lead internal and external meetings with stakeholders.
  • Manage project variations in conjunction with the Project Manager (PM) and Quantity Surveyor (QS).
  • Oversee the work of mechanical tradespeople and subcontractors.
  • Develop and implement project action plans.
Key Responsibilities
  • Plan, schedule, and coordinate mechanical engineering projects.
  • Maintain accurate project documentation.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver projects on time.
  • Identify and mitigate potential risks and issues.
Requirements
  • A degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • Experience working in a building services role for an M&E contractor, Main Contractor, or an M&E Consultancy, as well as data centre experience.
  • In-depth knowledge of building services with a particular emphasis on plumbing and HVAC.
  • Strong project management and leadership skills.
  • Excellent communication and organizational abilities.
