We are looking for a skilled procurement professional to oversee the purchasing of maintenance, repair, and operations materials and services. This role ensures the smooth functioning of facilities and equipment by managing these essential purchases.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Sourcing goods and services required for maintenance operations, including spare parts, consumables, tools, and contracted services.
  • Building and maintaining relationships with suppliers, ensuring timely delivery, competitive pricing, and adherence to quality standards.
  • Collaborating with the maintenance team to forecast requirements and minimize downtime of plant and equipment.
  • Developing and maintaining an approved supplier list in line with company policies and statutory requirements.
  • Issuing purchase orders, monitoring delivery schedules, and resolving discrepancies or delays.
  • Tracking key performance indicators (KPIs) such as cost savings, supplier performance, and lead times.
  • Ensuring compliance with procurement policies, Irish legislation, and EU procurement directives.
  • Supporting budgeting, cost control, and reporting for maintenance-related expenditure.
  • Participating in audits, supplier evaluations, and contract reviews.
  • Driving process improvements to enhance efficiency in maintenance procurement.
Requirements:
  • Essential: Bachelor's degree in Procurement, Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Minimum 23 years' experience in procurement, preferably in maintenance, facilities, or engineering.
  • Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
  • Familiarity with procurement systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or equivalent).
  • Good knowledge of Irish health & safety and procurement compliance requirements.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
