Private Debt Fund Accountant

We are seeking a skilled Fund Accountant to manage the financial activities of private debt funds. This includes daily fund operations, reconciliation with administrators, and overseeing valuations.

About the Role:

  • This position requires 5 years' experience in fund accounting within private debt, private equity, or hedge fund sectors.
  • Proven expertise in fund accounting, custody operations, and professional designations such as CFA, CPA, or CAIA is essential.
  • The ideal candidate will have excellent analytical skills, proficiency in IT systems, and a strong process-oriented mindset.
  • Liaising with investment managers, advisors, and administrators to ensure smooth operations is crucial for this role.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Conduct monthly valuations, shadow accounting, and review performance/management fee calculations for private debt funds.
  2. Manage FX exposure, budgeting, expense tracking, and transaction processing (capital calls, redemptions, dividends, etc.).
  3. Reconcile data between stakeholders, maintain accurate databases, and produce high-quality internal/external reports.
  4. Mentor junior staff and identify opportunities for operational improvements.
