Lead Engineer Position

This role requires an experienced professional to apply engineering principles in real-time problem-solving.

As a seasoned leader, you will guide and develop team members, providing hands-on training, coaching for performance, and ensuring the quality and output of work remain at a high standard.

You will contribute to key decisions around employee development, recognition, and compensation, helping to shape a motivated and high-performing workforce.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Participate in day-to-day leadership of the business unit and drive engagement activities.
  • Coach and mentor the engineering group.
  • Manage resources effectively.
  • Lead continuous improvement activities.
  • Drive RFT & Manufacturing Loss improvements within the value stream.
  • Identify, develop, and implement processes to improve department performance.
  • Develop new work processes and improve the utilization of human and material resources within operations.
  • Engage in delivering Business unit's KPIs.
  • Oversee the development of operational standards.
  • Continuously improve performance by providing technical solutions to operations issues.
Requirements:
  • Level 8 degree in an Engineering or Science discipline.
  • 4 years relevant experience in a team-based regulated manufacturing environment.
  • Good knowledge of GMP / FDA regulatory requirements and current Health and Safety Regulations legislation.
  • Proven experience practicing Lean tools.
  • Business understanding of operations and their impacts essential.
  • High level of PC skills.
  • Strong communication skills with both internal and external agents.
  • Ability to facilitate a team of engineers to deliver a specific objective.
  • Above-average level of emotional intelligence.
  • Flexibility essential with strong project management skills.
  • Motivated to work in a dynamic and results-motivated team-based environment.
