Accounting Support Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Accountancy Technician to join our team.

This is an exciting opportunity to work in a reputable accountancy practice, delivering high-quality financial services to clients.

Your main responsibilities will include assisting accountants with various accounting tasks, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant regulations.

  • Prepare financial statements and reports.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records.
  • Process invoices, payments, and receipts.
  • Reconcile bank statements and manage accounts payable/receivable.
  • Prepare VAT returns and assist with tax filings.
  • Support the preparation of budgets and forecasts.
  • Conduct financial analysis and provide insights to senior accountants.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
  • Liaise with clients to gather necessary financial information.
  • Assist with audits and other financial reviews.

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Proven experience as an Accountancy Technician or in a similar role.
  • A strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Relevant certification (e.g., AAT) is preferred.
