The Residential Support Worker is a crucial role in the disability sector. In this position, you will work in a residential setting supporting individuals with all aspects of daily living and enabling them to live independent lives in line with HIQA national standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • To empower Service Users to live independently with their residential home and community.
  • To provide transportation for Service Users to access daily living activities.
  • To participate in household duties such as cooking, laundry, general cleaning, and shopping.
  • To maintain professional relationships and communication with the team.
  • To be aware of safe working conditions and implement safe practices immediately reporting potential hazards, incidents, and concerns.
  • To engage actively in team meetings, supervisions, training, and events.
  • To provide an excellent standard of care to Service Users.
Qualifications and Requirements:
  • A relevant QQI qualification within the Healthcare Sector at Level 5 or higher.
  • Applicants must be 18 years old or above.
  • A full manual driving license and access to own transport are required.
  • An excellent command of spoken and written English is essential.
  • Knowledge of HIQA standards is necessary.
  • Work or student experience in social care or a related sector is preferred.
