Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Import Coordinator to join our team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating operational and administrative processes related to imports across air, sea, and international road freight.
This is a permanent position based in Dublin Airport, with standard working hours from 9 AM to 5:30 PM, Monday to Friday. Following the probation period, you will have the flexibility to work from home one day a week based on business needs.
Your Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate operational and administrative import processes, including invoicing, job costing, and documentation.
- Prepare customs entry documentation, ensuring all consignments are accurately completed and invoiced.
- Arrange and coordinate collections efficiently.
- Manage tracking of consignments and handle pre-alerts with precision.
- Deliver timely updates to customers and stakeholders.
- Resolve customer queries regarding clearance and delivery requirements, consistently striving to exceed expectations for service excellence and satisfaction.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to provide updates on queries and track shipments, ensuring adherence to compliance and service level agreements.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A minimum of 1-3 years of experience in an administrative import role within freight forwarding.
- Strong knowledge of the freight forwarding sector, with hands-on experience in international road freight and/or air or sea freight.
- Solid understanding of Irish customs processes.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.
- Proven ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Exceptional customer service skills.
- Ability to complete 5-year background check as part of the on-boarding process.
