Key Job Responsibilities

This position presents an exciting opportunity to engage in a dynamic and growing area of practice, where you will be responsible for leading cost management and quantity surveying services.

  • Lead cost management and quantity surveying services from inception to completion.
  • Manage junior staff to deliver cost management services efficiently and effectively.
  • Develop strong relationships with clients, enhancing the firm's profile as a provider of professional services.
  • Drive performance standards through expert communication and effective use of performance management processes.
  • Prepare feasibility estimates, procurement advice, cost planning, cash-flow forecasting, value and risk management, post-contract management, and support senior staff in improving project efficiency.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To excel in this role, you should possess:

  • Degree-qualified in Quantity Surveying/Cost Management or equivalent.
  • Professionally qualified (ideally Chartered Quantity Surveyor status).
  • Understanding of project types, sizes, and sectors (Healthcare, Education, Commercial, Residential).
  • Experience in preparing bid submissions, prior line-management experience or mentoring, and ability to advise clients on procurement, cost, value, and risk.
  • Excellent numeracy, verbal, and written communication skills.
