Job Opportunity
We are seeking a dedicated and customer-focused professional to take on the role of Grocery Department Manager.
The primary function of this position is to oversee the department, ensuring exceptional customer care and operational standards to maximize sales and profitability while maintaining costs.
Key Responsibilities:
- To deliver outstanding results in accordance with established performance metrics and forecasts.
- To lead by example and promote the organization's principles of operations and customer service.
- To motivate and direct the team to achieve business objectives and drive sales growth.
- To maintain a safe and compliant trading environment.
- To analyze data and stay ahead of customer needs to optimize sales and revenue.
- In collaboration with senior management, to ensure accurate stock levels and effective product offerings.
- To demonstrate excellent customer service skills and contribute to delivering a world-class 'customer experience.'
- To monitor and address cost variations within the department on a regular basis.
- To establish and implement departmental brand standards.
- To provide coaching and training to the team to enhance their knowledge and skills in sales, stock control, merchandising, and customer service.
